Dear Praying Friends, Thank you so much for praying for us. We thank God for the enjoyable time that he gave us in South Carolina. Kelly and the girls had a great time with my sister. God gave me a really encouraging time of Christian fellowship and instruction at the conference. I had the unexpected pleasure of reconnecting with a Peruvian friend I had met in Puerto Maldonado, Peru several years ago. It was also neat to see how God is using Park Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC to raise up and send out many men to serve as pastors. The church members work well together, for God's glory, to provide a focused internship and residency program that trains young men to serve the Lord in the church. I pray that God will give me the opportunity to lead a church to a similar type of ministry here in Florida. We thank God for giving us a good, safe trip down to Florida on Tuesday. We have enjoyed reconnecting with Christian friends down here. It's a privilege to know so many people in different places. We continue to prayerfully pursue a ministry for God's glory here in Florida. We look forward to providing ongoing care and support for my parents and grandfather. We thank God for producing wisdom, perseverance, faith, and joy in them in the midst of the various blessings and trials that he is taking them through. We also look forward to forming relationships and gospel partnerships with individuals and churches here in Florida to have a disciple-making ministry among the international community God has brought to Central Florida. To that end, tomorrow, Lord willing, we will be connecting with a small Baptist church in Kissimmee, FL. There is a large Spanish-speaking community in Kissimmee. We would love to continue using English and Spanish (and maybe Portuguese if I can learn a little more) as tools to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Please pray with us that God would clearly open doors for us to live and serve him in Kissimmee, should that be his will. Kelly and I enjoyed celebrating sixteen years of marriage yesterday! Thank you, God! The girls made a berry pie for all of us to enjoy with some vanilla ice cream. Delicious! Song of Solomon 8:6–7 (ESV) Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised. Mark 12:30–31 (ESV) And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” May you have a wonderful Lord's Day with God's people!
